Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This policy defines what Ekly may and may not be used for. It applies to all users including guests. Violations may result in immediate link deactivation and account termination.

Prohibited content

You must not use Ekly to link to or distribute:

• Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious software
• Phishing pages or credential harvesting sites
• Child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors
• Content that incites violence or terrorism
• Content that promotes hatred based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or nationality
• Illegal content under Australian, Canadian, or international law
• Non-consensual intimate imagery
• Counterfeit goods or fraudulent services

Prohibited activities

You must not use Ekly to:

• Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages containing Ekly links
• Conduct phishing or social engineering attacks
• Impersonate Ekly, other services, or individuals
• Create links designed to deceive users about their destination
• Attempt to bypass rate limits through automation or multiple accounts
• Scrape or extract data from Ekly without authorization
• Conduct denial of service attacks against Ekly or any other service
• Probe or test the security of our systems without written permission
• Resell or resupply the Ekly service without written permission

Abuse reporting

Every redirect page includes a report button. If you encounter a short link that points to harmful content, please report it.

• 3 reports flags a link for review
• 10 reports automatically disables a link pending investigation
• All reports are reviewed by our team within 24 hours

You can also report abuse directly to [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and act promptly.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to take any of the following actions for violations of this policy:

• Disable individual links without notice
• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement agencies
• Block IP addresses or ranges
• Add domains to our blocklist

We aim to act proportionally. Minor first violations may receive a warning. Serious violations including illegal content will result in immediate termination without warning.

If you believe your account or link was incorrectly actioned, contact us at [email protected] with your account email and a description of the situation. We will review all appeals within 5 business days.
